Originating in the lush valleys of the Drôme in the north of Provence. Large fat cloves that suit vegetable & fish dishes of the Mediterranean. Like many Mediterranean types, responds to heavy watering in the 3 months before harvest. Spring planting is possible although will produce smaller bulbs. Sweet and substantial can keep up to January. Warm subtle flavours superb in Aioli.
