✓ In stock — ships within 1 business day Precision 10mm universal underside glass molding, made from a custom compound that maintains its profile in cold and heat without shrinking. Pre-applied adhesive tape bonds to the glass edge for quick, clean installation. The wider 10mm profile suits vehicles with deeper channels or pinch welds. Sold per 100-foot roll. Specifications Width: 10mm Length: 100ft per roll Style: Underside (USM) — solid compound Material: Custom compound Tape Backing: Pre-applied adhesive tape Part Number: PRP10100USM Application Universal fit — select width based on the measured channel or pinch weld depth of the vehicle. This 10mm profile is designed for vehicles with wider or deeper glass channels. Verify measurement before ordering. What does underside glass molding do? Underside glass molding seats between the bottom edge of the glass and the vehicle's pinch weld or channel. It creates a consistent seal, cushions the glass against the body, and prevents direct metal-to-glass contact. Proper underside molding also helps exterior trim and moulding sit flush around the glass opening. How do I select the right width? Measure the channel or pinch weld depth on the vehicle. The 10mm profile suits vehicles with wider or deeper glass seats. If you are choosing between 8mm and 10mm, select 10mm when the channel is clearly deep or when you notice the 8mm sits too low in the channel without filling it properly. What is the difference between solid compound and foam/sponge molding? Solid compound (this product) provides a firm, stable profile with minimal compression — ideal when a precise, rigid fit is needed and the channel dimension closely matches the molding width. Foam/sponge versions compress more easily, which helps accommodate tighter tolerances or irregularities in the channel. Both use pre-applied tape for glass bonding. How much molding do I need per installation? Most passenger vehicle windshields require 12–16 feet of underside molding. At 100 feet per roll, this provides enough for 6–8 complete installations — a solid shop supply. For high-volume shops, ordering by the roll is significantly more economical than purchasing pre-cut lengths. Is this compatible with both OEM and aftermarket glass? Yes — this universal molding is cut to length on-site and works with OEM and aftermarket replacement glass alike. Aftermarket glass profiles can vary slightly from OEM, so always verify the channel dimension on the specific glass being installed before cutting the molding to length.
