PSP Impressor - High Precision Compressor. The PSP Impressor is a powerful and versatile compressor for sculpting your audio. It tackles individual tracks, busses, or entire mixes with remarkable precision. This plugin captures the essence of classic compressors, from warm tube emulation to modern, transparent designs. Tailored Compression with Flexible Sidechain: The PSP Impressor goes beyond standard compression with its highly configurable sidechain. This sidechain filter lets you fine-tune the compressor's behavior. Depending on your settings, you can use it as a de-esser to tame harsh sibilance or target specific instruments like kick drums for smoother, more controlled low-end. Unlock Analog Magic: The PSP Impressor shines when paired with the PSP Saturator plugin. Placing the Impressor before the Saturator mimics the classic workflow of using a bus compressor followed by tape saturation. This combination, with subtle settings, adds a cohesive, warm character reminiscent of high-end analog gear. Of course, feel free to experiment with the order – there are no wrong answers when it comes to exploring creative possibilities!
