Inspired by puddles of water and Alvar Aalto's classic series of glass vases from the 1930s, Chris Martin created the Puddle Table in 2019. Featuring a particularly unconventional design; an irregular tabletop with rounded edges and beautifully tapered wooden legs - The result is an organic and harmonious look. Despite its generous dimensions (the tables width is 1.6 metres), Puddle's rounded form conveys a light, sleek expression. Crafted from solid oak and ash, the Puddle Table is an original and durable furniture design. Balancing a robust construction with an elegant silhouette, the table will match up with many interior settings from residential to commercial spaces. Chris Martin on the design: "I wanted to create a table consisting of three design elements: the tabletop, the table edge profile and leg shape. I worked on balancing these three forms to create a uniform design."
