Whether you have a young puppy just starting out, an adolescent who needs a little more focus, or an adult dog who could benefit from going back to the foundations, this four week course is designed to give you both a solid starting point. There is no age limit and you do not need to have done any previous training. Held at Kemble's Field in Charlton, near Evesham, Worcestershire. We focus on the things that actually matter in day to day life. That includes walking on a loose lead, building a reliable recall, settling in different environments, calm greetings, frustration tolerance and learning to manage everyday situations with a little less chaos. For puppies, this means starting these skills from the beginning and helping them develop confidence as they learn about the world. For older dogs, it is a chance to strengthen existing skills, fill in any gaps and work through areas that have become more difficult as they have grown up. As a Royal Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Training Scheme listed training club, the course introduces and develops the foundations of the Good Citizen Dog Training Scheme, giving you a structured framework that you can continue to build on. When you and your dog are ready, you can choose to take the relevant Royal Kennel Club Good Citizen assessment. Sam specialises in pet dog, scentwork and gundog training and is known for clear coaching and realistic expectations that fit into normal home life. Training is adapted to the dog in front of you, rather than expecting every dog in the class to progress in exactly the same way. Classes take place at a dedicated training facility with fenced private fields and an indoor rubber floored barn. This gives us the flexibility to work on skills both indoors and outside in a safe, well managed environment. Force free methods are used throughout.
