This vibrant 100% pure fine Australian merino wool scarf has been hand ecoprinted with eucalyptus leaves and gumnuts. The finished colour given by the leaves is brilliant bright or ange red. Fringe on both ends. Soft and light but warm, just gorgeous. 32cm x 180cm. The ecoprinting process I use involves wrapping the leaves around the fabric, tying tightly and boiling for four hours. I use a piece of salvaged iron in the boil, which also gives colour and interest to the finished result. I don't use any chemical or powdered mordants in any of my products.
