Setcreasea pallida (syn. Tradescantia pallida), commonly known as Purple Queen or Purple Heart, is a fast-growing evergreen perennial prized for its vibrant purple foliage and smal l pink flowers. Its trailing, spreading habit makes it an excellent choice for groundcovers, borders, hanging baskets, and containers, where it provides bold color throughout the growing season. Care Needs:• Light: Full sun to partial sun• Water: Water regularly until established; once established, water during extended dry periods• Pruning: Trim as needed to maintain a compact shape and encourage fuller growth; pinch back stems to promote branching• Fertilizer: Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in spring; additional feeding is generally not necessary in fertile soils Toxicity: Poisonous to pets!
