Purple Sand Storm was inspired by a dust storm in Sydney in September 2009. The outback dust storm has swept across eastern Australia, shrouding Sydney and other cities in a dramat ic red-orange glow. The dust quite literally formed a wall that marched over parts of NSW and Queensland, the contrast between the dust and the clouds is mesmerizing.
