In the movie Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves (directed by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, Paramount Pictures, 2023), a clever crook (Edgin) recruits a band of mi sfits to retrieve a rare and valuable relic. At the end of the movie, after capturing a ship full of loot, which just so happens to include the magical relic he was seeking to retrieve all along, Edgin faces a moral dilemma: he can sail away from danger and bring his beloved wife back from the dead, or he can turn back and save a compromised city from impending doom.
