This 1,000-piece puzzle is 28 x 20 inches and comes with a free reference poster. The illustration encompasses all of the diverse and complex ecosystems of the great volcano Haleak alā, from sea to summit. Native and endemic birds, plants, insects and stream animals are tucked into their correct habitats, starting with the shoreline and ending at the high, dry and cold summit. Artist Sophie Cayless has drawn and painted all of her life, especially enjoying nature illustration. As a park ranger and naturalist she illustrated park publications and exhibits.
