(Red Hot Poker) Set your garden a blaze with the new Pyromania® Red Hot Poker Plants. Kniphofia Pyromania® 'Backdraft' is one of the taller varieties in the series standing up to 36 inches tall and spreading up to 30 inches wide. The dark green foliage creates a dense, upright mounding habit. The large and wide flower spikes start off with deep orange flower buds that burst open to a peachy yellow color. As the flowers age, the poker color starts to go away, no fear though, this floriferous bloomer will have more spikes waiting to explode your garden with color. Hardy in zones 5b(with protection) to zone 9, Pyromania® 'Backdraft' adds a long blooming tropical feel to the garden. Planted in full sun, Red Hot Pokers are a drought tolerant perennial. Enjoy the flutter of butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees in your garden all the while the deer and rabbits will stay away from this plant. Pyromania® 'Backdraft' makes a great specimen as well as being planted in mass. Get crazy and mix them all together! Kniphofia Pyromania® 'Backdraft' is a Proven Winners® Perennial.
