Q-SYNC is the latest edition to QED’s extensive range of audio/visual connection solutions and enables the connection of SCART-equipped RGB source components with Plasma screens and projectors* fitted with 15-pin HD D-type sockets, specifically those that require a separate TTL level sync signal to be present on pin 13 of the D-type connector.Typical applications include:1. Provision of an RGB SCART input for Plasmas and projectors via the VGA socket – enables direct connection of RGB equipped DVD players and digibox.2. For Plasma monitors with an RGB SCART socket utilised by a DVD player, a second RGB source, such as digibox, can be connected via the VGA input.3. Where a DVD player is connected via the Component Video inputs, a digibox can be connected via RGB SCART into the VGA socket.To maximise performance this product provides perfect separate horizontal and vertical sync signals on pins 13 and 14. Unlike passive units or those that utilise the SCART pin 8 voltage, Q-SYNC is a true active design which optimises signal integrity and timing. A 1m RGB special edition version of QED’s award-winning SQART™ cable is utilised, supplying the RGB signal to a discrete shielded Aluminium enclosure that contains the active sync extraction circuitry.
