The QiYi 2x2 Gear Ball is a 2x2 version of the Gear Ball, at first glance, it appears that every turn of the puzzle turns all the layers and it can't really be properly scrambled a s continuing to make any turn will eventually result in it being solved again, however, you are also able to pull out any of the 6 layers and doing so will result in a restriction on which layers will turn, making the cube more challenging.
