Once your tag is added to your account, you can add your contact information like your name, email and a backup phone number, and that information will show up on the page that opens when someone scans the tag in the future.Your tag comes with ScanKeep Lite membership included for life, which allows you to add more contact information to the page that opens when the tag is scanned, and to update it any time without having to change the QR code or get a new tag. For instance, if you’re traveling, you can update the contact information on the QR code to be your dog’s sitter’s phone number.You can upgrade to a ScanKeep Premium membership anytime to add more information about your pet in the landing page (behavioral issues, health issues, vet’s information, etc.), add a photo of your pet, add multiple contacts to that page, and get a scan alert with the location as soon as someone scans your tag.There is no special app required to download or install for the tag to work.
