Our quail is raised in Washington State on an NPIP (National Poultry Improvement Plan) farm. This is a voluntary, cooperative program between the poultry industry, state governments, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) targeting improvement of poultry and poultry products. Its primary objective is testing and certification to reduce the spread of certain poultry diseases. Quail is a game bird and cannot be certified organic.
