This is a comprehensive hands on 2 day workshop - Saturday July 15 and Sunday July 16 2023 In the two days you will gain experience, skills, and techniques on queen rearing from Koty, a queen and Nuc producer raising queens weekly to supply beekeepers. skills you will learn hands on setting up a cell builder grafting ( advise, tips, and techniques) moving cells to a finisher setting up mating nucs handling queen cells marking and caging queens on the second day we will return to see how successful your grafts were from the previous day, and discuss breeding bees for improved genetic traits - followed by a second session of grafting. This workshop is suited for someone with 3 or more years of beekeeping experience . This workshop will be held outdoors in Athens, just north of Lyndhurst and is weather dependent. If the weather is not promising the 2 day workshop will be rescheduled
