From Big Bad Trouble From the artist: Showing some love to my favorite sticker design I’ve done I think: the Queer Quilt. Originally part of a Pride collab with a big craft store that went south (don’t ask), this design was inspired by a trip to Portland to see pieces of the AIDS Quilt. It was heartbreaking. A lot of people including myself were openly sobbing reading the names and seeing faces of those lost to AIDS, including a block dedicated to Keith Haring. I was inspired to make something quilt-based but symbolic of more than just our loss: I wanted it to include our perseverance, our love, and our legacy of transformation. Kind of heavy subject matter to put into a sticker, but I like to carry these kinds of reminders around with me.
