The Pretorian Quester Joystick is a compact, light-touch desktop joystick designed to make computer gaming more accessible for people who find a conventional keyboard, mouse or game controller difficult to operate. It provides three navigation modes for games controlled using WASD keys, arrow keys or mouse movement. The joystick requires just 0.5 Newtons of operating force, allowing it to respond to gentle movements of the hand, wrist or forearm. Three interchangeable handles are included so the method of control can be adapted around the gamer’s strength, grip and range of movement. The gamer can move between WASD Mode, Arrow Key Mode and Mouse Mode using the centre button or an external switch connected to the right-hand 3.5mm socket. Modes that are not required can be removed through Learn Mode, reducing the number of selections needed to reach the preferred setting. Two Quester Joysticks can be connected to the same computer when separate control methods are helpful. For example, one joystick can provide WASD movement while the other controls the mouse cursor. Arrow Key Mode: Joystick movements produce the up, down, left and right arrow-key commands. Mouse Mode: The joystick controls the on-screen mouse cursor, with four selectable cursor speeds. The centre button or a connected external switch can move between the enabled modes. Learn Mode allows any modes that are not required to be removed from the sequence.
