The Pretorian Quester Switchbox is a programmable USB switch interface designed to make PC gaming accessible to people who play using assistive switches. It allows up to six wired switches to operate keyboard and mouse commands commonly used within computer games. Four selectable control levels provide access to different groups of commands. Levels 1 and 2 cover common movement and navigation controls, while Level 3 provides number keys that may be used for selecting weapons, tools or other in-game functions. Level 4 can be programmed around the individual gamer and the particular game being played. A seventh 3.5mm socket can be connected to a separate switch for changing between the four levels. This allows the gamer to move from navigation to other commands without assistance. The level can also be changed using the button on the front of the Switchbox. Level 4 is programmed without installing additional software. Each of its six sockets can be assigned a keyboard command, mouse click, cursor movement or specialist gaming function. The completed settings are stored in the Switchbox’s internal memory and recalled when it is reconnected, even if it is moved to another compatible computer.
