It is the perfect size for mini lathes. The tool holders have been designed specifically to work on the mini lathes and other lathes that have limited distance from the top of the compound to the center of the lathe. This tool post mounts with an M10 stud, which is included. *NOTE: This set is manufactured in INDIA to the same specs and standards as our premium set but were able to produce and import at a lower cost. Tool post and toolholders are interchangeable between sets. Minor differences in components (e.g. handle) and "finish" (e.g. chamfers, knurls, etc.) exist due to differences in manufacturing, but do not impact performance or reliability.
