The insulated stainless steel boilers, controlled by a PID, offer optimal speed and precision for making multiple drinks in quick succession. The double boiler's temperature stability and powerful steam production allow for efficient and high-quality drinks, perfect for entertaining guests. Plus, the independent power switches for each boiler make it easy to save energy when not using the service boiler. The QM67 does not have the option to be plumbed in, but it features a spacious three-liter reservoir that can be easily reached via the hinged cup warming tray. This allows for effortless refilling of the water tank without having to remove the warming tray or relocate cups. You will be alerted by an audible signal when the reservoir is low, thanks to the convenient low-water sensor. The expansion valve adjustment, which can modify the pump pressure of the vibratory pump, can be found beneath the cup warming tray. Dual Manometer The midnight blue manometer, situated left of the durable E61 group, provides prompt feedback to the user, allowing for simple monitoring of pump pressure (lower section) and service boiler pressure (upper section) during use. To easily adjust the pump pressure, the QM67's expansion valve is conveniently located under the cup warmer. A large flathead screwdriver or coin is all you need to make adjustments to the vibratory pump. Remember to view the brewing pressure on the lower section of the dual manometer for an accurate reading at the group. For precise brew pressure readings while adjusting, utilize the backflush disc included with either of the portafilters included with the machine. The PID is an advanced device that ensures precise temperature stability by closely monitoring the water temperature and maintaining it within a narrow range. Unlike a basic thermostat that simply turns off once the set temperature is reached, potentially causing the temperature to fluctuate, the PID provides small pulses of energy as needed to maintain the desired temperature. The chrome-plated brass group head, weighing 8 lbs., also plays an important role in maintaining temperature stability as the water travels from the boiler to the cup, resulting in a consistently high-quality espresso shot with minimal heat loss. Energy Savings With the addition of the new PID Quick Mill added some new energy-saving modes within its programming. The programming can be turned on or off easily just by lifting the brew lever while the machine is off.
