The Gen2 quick release staff coupler is compatible with eco apprentice sabers and uses a spring loaded mechanism to lock and unlock your sabers. Simply replace your pommels with the quick release coupler halves, press them together, and rotate 1/8 turn and they lock into place. To separate push the saber together, rotate 1/8 of a turn and release. The Gen2 design has a shorter overall length, a smoother operation, and uses a four lug mechanism instead of a two lug. This means you have four positions you can time your sabers instead of two. The Apprentice Gen2 quick couplers are compatible with the Elite/ASP Gen2 couplers and will connect to them.
