All Quiltworx Sew Alongs Are 2 Days Session Times Day 1 Friday Instruction Open Sew 9:00am - 4:00pm 4:00pm - 6pm Day 2 Saturday Instruction 9:00am - 4:00pm Spend 2 days sewing along with us. Bring any Quiltworx project you are working on or wanting to start. Stop looking at that Quiltworx pattern and let us help you get it started. As the First Certified Quiltworx shop in Iowa, all of the staff at Mended Hearts are fully qualified to help you pick out your pattern, fabric and guide you during this Quiltworx Sew Along. Beginners are encouraged and always welcome!! The following items will be used in class: Judy Niemeyer Sew Along Pattern and fabric Sewing Machine and Accessories Iron – Mended Hearts has irons provided, you are welcome to bring your own as well Ironing Board -Mended Hearts has ironing boards provided, you are welcome to bring your own small one as well One piece of Template Plastic (3" by 12” piece) 12" or 6” Add-a-quarter ruler (you must have this) 6" by 12" ruler (needed for trimming) Medium size cutting mat - Mended Hearts has cutting mats provided, you are welcome to bring your own as well Rotary cutter 45mm or 60 mm New rotary blade Size 70/10 needles Scissors Seam ripper 505 Glue Stick Sewline Glue Pen Aurifil 50wt Thread Purple Thang Scotch Tape Paper and pen to take note For class, please cut out all your papers and put them into the proper labeled bag according to your directions, leaving an 1/8 inch all around the pieces. Also cut your fabrics according to your directions and place into the proper bags. If you need help with cutting fabrics, you can call Mended Hearts Quilting or stop in the shop before class. There are no overnight accommodations at the quilt shop. Accommodations can be found at the Comfort Inn in Story City, Iowa.
