Tasting Note: This LBV has a very lively, complex aromas with a mature, black plum, spicy, herbal finish. It has good concentration without being too full-bodied and fresh tannins give the port length and depth. An excellent example of a ‘Late Bottled Vintage’ in other words aged for five years in large wooden barrels, rather than two for Vintage. Delicious with dessert, especially chocolate, cheese or on its own. Great all round red for a cheeseboard. Fruit and intensity to match almost any style of cheese apart from tart goats etc
