93 Points - James SucklingA Douro red from Quinta do Côtto in the Baixo-Corgo, the Montez Champalimaud estate that bottled the first single-estate Douro red in the 1960s.Intense ru by in colour with violet tones and an explosion of wild-berry and forest-fruit aromas, blackberry, plum and blueberry, lifted by subtle spice. Complex and concentrated, intense and long on the palate, with good acidity and round tannins from ageing in French and American oak.Lovely with red meats, roasts, game and cheeses.
