Seiko's "Dancing Dial" Melodies in Motion clocks are both enchanting and magical. They are some of the most popular and best-selling musical clocks, and for good reason. At the top of each hour, the dials twist and turn to dance along in sync with the soothing melodies to create both a hypnotizing and joyful display. The sleek metallic gray and silver finish of “Musical Motifs” adds a certain touch of elegance to this Melodies in Motion wall clock. The design is decorated with intricate floral details and lineage reminiscent of Roman architecture. At the top of the hour, a short attention chime plays to introduce the melodies and the motion. As one of 18 total melodies begins to play, the dial breaks into six pieces to rotate and “dance” along. The white and shimmering silver dial pieces are decorated with various musical motifs. The rotating wheel beneath the dial is adorned with multicolored crystals atop a navy blue backdrop. After the main tune is finished, an ending melody plays as the dial returns to its original position, almost as if it were thanking you for watching its performance. The crystal pendulum beneath the dial rotates continuously.
