2016 brought yet another one of Seiko’s yearly Special Collector’s Edition Melodies in Motion clocks available exclusively at Sam’s Club. It is one of the post-2012 “new age” models, with a rotating dial that appears to “dance” along to the music. This year, Seiko modified the design slightly to include three declarative doors. Every hour or when the demonstration button is pressed, the doors open up to reveal moving figurines while the striking red dial comes to life and dances along to the tune of one of 24 total melodies. 6 of these 24 melodies are songs by The Beatles, which are now hard-to-find on these clocks due to strict copyright laws. This was the last model to be produced with them. Below the face is a decorative rotating pendulum adorned with Swarovski crystals that rotates continuously.
