The R18E is made to repair one of the most common semi-flush electricity meter boxes. It is one of a matching pair of Ritherdon door and frame units designed to repair the meter box of a paired gas/electricity installation (see the R18G for its identical twin – with ventilation louvres). How to install: The R18 retrofits to your existing meter box through the use of two vertical fixing plates, one on either side of the inside of the back of the frame. The fixing plates contain a number of holes along the length and width of their surface. The fixing screws provided are used to fix these plates to the inside surface of your existing meter box and secure the unit in place. No need to disconnect the meter – safer installation in unskilled hands.
