Introducing a truly unique dram from the Isle of Raasay. This is the Marsala Cask, a limited edition single malt that brings together two very different, but equally beautiful, island terroirs. It’s the meeting of the rugged Hebrides and the sun-drenched vineyards of Sicily, all thanks to some incredible casks sourced from one of Sicily's oldest Marsala producers. This is the first time Raasay’s signature lightly peated spirit has been fully matured in Marsala casks, and the result is something special. The whisky has soaked up all the wonderful, nutty and oxidative notes from the long-seasoned wood. On the nose, you'll find a delightful mix of dried pears and apricots, with a gentle sweetness and a whisper of smoke. Take a sip and you'll be met with baked apples, a hint of maple syrup, and a sophisticated balsamic note. The finish is long, with that familiar Raasay smokiness that lingers beautifully alongside notes of roasted coffee. It's an elegant, complex, and memorable whisky that’s sure to become a favourite.
