As this rucksack is designed for trekking and hill walking, there are two walking pole attachment loops on the outside that you can store your walking poles when not in use. Should the rain start to fall, the bag also has a waterproof rain cover stored in the bottom that can be stretched over the front of the bag to help keep it dry.
