In the finless design-scope, the Rabbitsfoot can be considered the high performance shortboard. All Rabbitsfoot (feet?) are built in EPS and Epoxy construction, something sacred to the design's functionality, so expect these to be extremely light and extremely buoyant for their size. The Rabbitsfoot has become something of a mythical little beast - it’s beginnings sprouting in Dan Malloy’s curious mind - a lopsided experimental brainchild of his; developed by RL and tested into the ground by a bunch of oddballs including Trevor Gordon, Ari Browne, Simon Murdoch, Landon Smith, Ryan Burch, William Aliotti, Phil Browne and Cyrus Sutton. The version used for our quiver here is the most highly documented and road-tested in its decade of the design’s trials, Ari ‘Krooky’ Browne’s magic little 5’9. *Please remember, if you have no finless experience, this will be like re-learning to surf all over again; both in stance and approach to the wave - The boys make this look easy, and I promise you it is not, so a little experience on an Alaia or finless softop is highly recommended before embarking on this path* Available only @ 5’9 x 21 x 2 3/8 30.62 L - $1295 Currently only available by custom order. Ride the long side of the rail on your toe side, and surf them farther forward than you think, luckily there is a ton of reference material online to study on how to surf these babies best! The more water moving up the face of the wave the better - your grip comes from the tension in the face of the wave, so the more tension (the hollower and tighter the wave’s face) the wave has, the more grip and control you’ll have.
