Race the Tide, Too 2nd Annual Wake Surf, Paddle & Poker Relay Saturday September 20 Race the Tide, Too is back — and this time, it’s all about going bigger, getting weirder, and having a day on the water. This 25-mile, four-person team relay is the only race where boat wake surfing, costumes, and poker hands collide for one epic day down the Intracoastal. What It’s All About Four-person teams in your most outrageous costumes Boat wake surfing encouraged — speed is fun, but fun is faster Stop at all the checkpoints to collect playing cards and build your best poker hand Finish at Guanabanas, where we’ll crown the fastest, celebrate the flashiest, and cheers the luckiest Course & Rules Start: Sandsprit Park, Stuart Paddle south with your team; boats must wait at the one-mile mark — no going back to pick up paddlers Check in at all four checkpoints to collect your cards — boats stay outside the checkpoint Follow “No Wake Zones” and all boating laws PFD and whistle required for all paddlers on the water (prone paddlers exempt). If using a tow rope, you must wear a life jacket. $300 per team, and $75 for each additional person. Time Cutoffs:If you miss a cutoff, hop on your boat and head to the next checkpoint — paddling resumes after check-in. Awards Up for Grabs Fastest Tide Rider Teams Awards for the fastest team If you ain't first, you last. no individual categories no rules (except for not following the boating laws) Tide Rider Show Pony Given to the team that shows up with the best costumes, the biggest smiles, and makes the entire course an absolute party. Winning isn’t required — bringing the fun is. Best Hand Poker Run Awarded to the team with the best poker hand collected from the checkpoints. Luck counts, but you must be at the awards party to win.
