This is the front radius rod for the T3 Vanagon (86-02). It keeps the front lower control arm in its place. It is attached with rubber bushings (251 407 179, 251 407 179), a spacer sleeve (251 407 097) and two seats (251 407 069) which look like large washers which may be worth replacing as well.
