She was depicted in ancient times as a lioness or a human with a cat head detailed with gold jewelry. In this figurine she has a large crown with a snake protruding outwards. The snake that would be atop the crown was popular among pharaohs and deities as cobras specifically were believed to represent royal authority and protection, as well as the god Wadjet, believed to protect Pharaohs, connecting them to divinity.
