DESCRIPTION Taikoku Shozu is a family-run distillery established in 1952, producing traditional Okinawa Spirits and Sake. The distillery obtained a whisky license in 1955 after successfully ageing their whisky for more than 3 years. Raiden Pure Malt Whisky blends malt whiskies that are aged in Hogshead and ex-old sherry butt. The geographical location of Okinawa provides a warm subtropical climate and Pacific Ocean breeze, which accelerated the cask maturation, creating a rich balanced flavored whisky with hints of tropical herbs.
