Update to the beds as of 3/1/2021: The thermistor channel is now 40mm long instead of to the middle of the bed. This is a change approved by Railcore Labs. Our magbeds are milled from .250" (6.4mm) 5083 cast aluminum alloy tool plate. Cast tool plates casting process means fewer internal stresses which can cause warping. This also allows us to go one step further, and flatten our bed, giving you one of the flattest magbeds available. Once machining is complete, these beds are probed with a Renishaw Probe on a Haas VF5 mill, and we share this data with you in the form of a "birth certificate". The top of the heated bed features a recessed thermistor channel and three attachment points to connect to the Z-yokes. The 9 high temperature neodymium magnets N48SH are recessed into custom milled pockets on the top side of the bed, to keep them as close to the flex sheet as possible. In addition, they are attached to the bed with countersunk screws. These magnets are rated for temperatures up to 150C. They each have a pulling force of 11 lbs. Our magbeds are a top magnet design bed, meaning that the magnets are slightly below the surface of the magbed. We are happy to be able to provide some flexplates, with, or without a print surface, called the FireThorns. Thinner sheets may dimple slightly under the magnet. A lot of China build plates are not up to the challenge. Max_plastix from discord has created an awesome calculator to determine your best probe points for our magbeds. The magnets will likely cause interference with the bed probes. If using a BLTouch, please use the plastic tipped BLtouch bed leveling probe, and avoid probing directly over the magnets. IMPORTANT NOTE: If at any point you decide to remove the magnets, first of all, when reinstalling the screws, turn the screw backwards until you feel the threads in the screw jump the threads in the bed. Once you feel that little bump, turn the screw in until it gets to the "screw stops turning point" with zero strength behind it. Once the screw has stopped turning, tighten it 1/32nd of a turn and NO MORE. Overtightening WILL shatter the magnets. Railcore®️ is a registered trademark of RailCore labs, LLC
