Rain Catcher is a new exhibition celebrating local activism, the creation of the Burges Road Community Garden, and the installation of a rainwater collector that we created with local people through a commission by Sainsbury Centre. This collaborative artwork was created to help solve the need for water within the Burges Road Community Garden, and features over 120 handmade roof tiles illustrated by local people during workshops led by Ned. Following its display at The Enterprise Centre, the Sainsbury Centre’s Rain Catcher will be permanently installed in the Burges Road Community Garden, where it will collect rainwater, support plant growth, and continue to tell the story of what is possible when communities work together.
