Inspired by the setting sun and long summer evenings when violet blue shadows form and rays of light flicker and shimmer through forest trees. I love to walk my dogs alone in the evening forest. A comfortable solitude, a rainbow of colours. I wanted to create an impression of this moment. The viewer is met by a beautiful blend of colour which suggests forest or woodland with scattered leaves and twisted undergrowth. Juxtaposed against the strong line are ethereal butterflies, dancing in the evening light. The sun rays in Rainbow Forest are created with iridescent gold paint.
