This banner has been embraced once again by Mainers who love its unique character and clean, striking look. The centerpiece is a proud Eastern White Pine, a longtime symbol of "The Pine Tree State" and its rich logging and shipbuilding history. The single blue North Star in the corner is a direct nod to the state's powerful motto, "Dirigo," which is Latin for "I Lead."
