Rainbow Numbers – Magnetic Maths Set is a versatile hands-on resource for developing early numeracy, number sense and mathematical understanding. Designed for children aged 4 years and over, the 155-piece magnetic foam set includes numbers, mathematical symbols, counting dots, ten frames, base ten and place value pieces, together with a magnetic board for modelling concepts. Students can manipulate the pieces to explore counting, place value, number relationships, equations and operations, while teachers can use the set to demonstrate strategies including partitioning and Singapore maths approaches. Suitable for individual and small-group learning, the set provides a visual and concrete way to explore foundational maths concepts. Applications and Use • Develop number recognition, counting and number sense through hands-on activities. • Explore place value using base ten and place value pieces. • Model addition and subtraction using numbers, symbols, counting dots and ten frames. • Build and solve simple equations using magnetic numbers and mathematical symbols. • Investigate number relationships, partitioning and different ways of representing quantities. • Use to demonstrate Singapore maths strategies and concrete approaches to mathematical concepts. • Incorporate into individual activities, small-group instruction and early numeracy rotations.
