Sequins on a combat boot are exactly the kind of contradiction queer footwear should exploit. British Sequins Combat Boots combine the hard proportions of lace-up ankle footwear with a full reflective sequin surface, turning military-coded shape into glam punk. The rounded toe and square heel keep the boot grounded while the shine makes it impossible to read as utilitarian. Nylon and microfiber or plush materials form the boot, with reflective sequins covering the surface. Lace-up fastening secures the foot, the toe is rounded and the square heel measures approximately 5.5 cm. Tartan turns them punk, a suit makes the sequin surface unexpectedly formal and a short skirt lets the 5.5 cm heel read more clearly. These boots sit beautifully between military shape and disco finish, which is exactly where their queer appeal lives.
