Sometimes you’re just not sure if the storm will ever end, but then the sun finally breaks through and washes the sky with glorious color. In so many ways, rainbows have come to symbolize hope during a time of darkness.As many if you know, I was diagnosed with cancer on the first of this year; the past 9 months have been the hardest of my life and this new release has a very personal meaning for me. I designed this warp during one of my frequent trips to the hospital this past spring; chemotherapy to treat my stage 3 cancer was causing heart failure, so I was admitted to the hospital for 4 or 5 days at a time for monitoring. The chemo made me so sick, and I just wanted to be home with my babies but working on this warp layout brought a welcome distraction during a very dark time. As I worked with all the beautiful colors in a rainbow, I was struck by the symbolism - here I was, going though the darkest and most painful time of my life, and the most important thing I was learning was how important it was to hold on to hope because the minute you lose hope, the darkness will consume you.So if you’re going through your own storm, whatever it may be, please don't lose hope!
