Rainbow's End has the perfect Terroir for Cabernet Franc. This has just been supported by the SA Terroir Awards and SA Wine of the Month Club electing our Cabernet Franc 2012 as th e best Cabernet Franc in SA! Clone 1 and 214. For its price it is arguably the best Cabernet Franc in SA for the last 5 years, competing with bigger and more expensive brands. This being said there aren't many single cultivar Cabernet Franc's in SA. This is a smooth easy drinking wine, especially if you keep in mind it is a 2012 with an aging potential of up to 8 years. Nuances of dark cherry, earthy, black berries, tobacco and black forest cake. There is underlying fynbos and lavender but no heavy vegetativeness. Show more
