Our standard 40cm height is ideal for growing vegetables, herbs, and flowers, with an optional additional tier for increased soil depth and easier, more comfortable gardening — both creating striking, well-defined features that stand out in any garden, as seen in our customer photos below. No brackets. No liner required. Simply position the sleepers, drive in the self-driving screws with your drill, and you're done. Solid, easy to assemble raised beds that are ready in minutes and built to last; the beauty of using garden sleepers. Garden Sleepers vs. Timber Boards – Why Our Sleeper Raised Beds Last Longer Many customers choose our raised beds because thick garden sleepers look better, last longer, and are far more durable than timber boards often used in cheap raised beds — which warp and bow in summer heat and under the constant weight of soil, gradually weakening until they fail. Cutting sleepers yourself also creates a problem: once a pressure-treated sleeper is cut, the exposed edges lose their protection and should be re-treated. It also requires expensive cutting equipment. Our raised bed kits solve this. Each kit includes pre-cut sleepers, heavy-duty self-driving screws, and simple instructions for quick assembly. Raised Bed Key Features Heavy-Duty Landscape Sleepers (10cm × 20cm Thick) Made from real landscape sleepers, not timber boards that twist, warp and struggle to hold together when full of damp soil. Pressure-Treated Protection Treated with Tanalith to protect against rot, insects and moisture — built for long outdoor life and safe for growing vegetables. Simple, Drill-Only Assembly No pilot holes. No complicated tools. Just position the sleepers and drive in the supplied high-strength sleeper screws, designed specifically for structural timber, using the included drill bit and a standard 18V drill — that’s it. 10-Year Structural Guarantee Against Rot & Insect Attack Built from heavy-duty pressure-treated sleepers for long outdoor life, and backed by our 10-year structural guarantee. * Cracks, splits and natural variation are normal characteristics of sleepers. Full details Flexible 40cm or 60cm Heights Our raised beds are available in two-tier 40cm or three-tier 60cm heights, giving you the right soil depth for vegetables, herbs, flowers, and easier gardening. Complete Kit Included Everything required to build your raised bed is supplied — self-drilling sleeper screws and drill bit included. Pre-Cut Sleepers All sleepers arrive cut to size for quick, straightforward assembly. They’re cut before pressure treatment, so the exposed edges are protected too. Multi-Buy Savings Save £10 off each bed when purchasing two or more. User Friendly and Manageable Despite their chunky thickness, our longest 2200mm sleeper weighs only around 25kg thanks to the high-quality softwood construction. That makes them far easier to handle than you might expect — most people can move them solo, or even more easily as a pair if preferred. Safe Nationwide Delivery Your sleepers and screws will arrive on a pallet which will be unloaded to the ground by the driver using a pallet trolley from a tail-lift vehicle nearest to your property - usually the start of your drive. You can then move the individual sleepers safely to your ideal location to assemble at your convenience. Installation Tips – Patios, Concrete, Grass & Soil Our raised beds are built from thick, pressure-treated sleepers that naturally resist rot and moisture — no liner needed. On patios or concrete: Add a shallow 2cm layer of gravel inside the base before filling with soil. This improves drainage and helps prevent standing water. There’s no need to elevate the bed off the ground. On grass or soil: Laying a breathable weed membrane at the base is optional and only recommended for weed-heavy areas. It helps suppress regrowth and cuts down on future maintenance.
