The RAK12002 is a WisBlock RTC module featuring the Micro Crystal RV‑3028‑C7 real‑time clock. Equipped with its own supercapacitor backup, the module preserves accurate timekeeping even when the main system loses power. After being set once, the RTC continues to maintain the correct date and time autonomously. When power becomes available again, the WisBlock Core can read the updated time from the RAK12002, ensuring reliable and uninterrupted time synchronization for applications that require persistent timing information.
