The RAK3372 is a low-power, long-range transceiver module designed for LoRa® and LoRaWAN® applications, powered by the STM32WLE5CC chip. This specific version is engineered for compatibility with WisBlock Base Boards, enabling users to easily expand their hardware by plugging in WisBlock sensor and IO modules alongside the RAK3372 on the Base Board. Firmware and Development The module operates on firmware based on the RAKwireless Unified Interface V3 (RUI3). This provides an easy-to-use, small-size, and low-power solution for long-range wireless data applications, allowing users to create custom functionalities utilizing RUI3 APIs. Connectivity and Compliance The RAK3372 is fully compliant with LoRaWAN 1.0.4 specifications, supporting Class A, B, and C devices. It provides seamless connection capabilities to various LoRaWAN® server platforms, including TheThingsNetwork (TTN), Chirpstack, and Helium. Furthermore, it supports LoRa® Point-to-Point (P2P) communication mode, facilitating the rapid implementation of customized long-range LoRa® networks. Operating Modes The module can be deployed in two primary configurations: Stand-alone Device: Operates independently by running custom firmware created via RUI3 APIs. LoRa® Modem: Functions alongside an external host (such as a microcontroller or microprocessor) that configures and controls the module using AT and Binary commands via a UART interface.
