This is the linchpin of the whole RAM Mount system. These extensions -- offered in 2, 3 and 5-inch lengths, clamp a base 1" ball and a mount or device's 1" ball. We sell very few 5 -inchers—the middle sized is the most popular, and if you're really looking to keep a nice tight cockpit and are using something like the RAM Fork Mount or a M8 bolt-mount ball, the short one is worth considering too.
