If kept underwater, they also uncurl over time so keep that in mind, i usual ly break them up into smaller pieces to use as ground clutter! They enhance biofilm growth and release small amounts of tannins, they also provide antibacterial and antifungal properties in your water creating a more natural ecosystem for your tank’s inhabitants!
