Ransom Old Tom Gin is a gin made by Ransom Spirits in Portland, Oregon, in collaboration with spirits author David Wondrich. It's a revival of the gin that was popular in the mid-1 800s and before Prohibition, and is made with 85% malted corn and barley, and 15% unmalted, along with organic botanicals like juniper berries, orange peel, lemon peel, coriander seed, cardamom pods, and angelica root. The gin is distilled in an alambic copper pot still, and then aged in French wine oak barrels for 6 to 12 months, before being bottled at 44% ABV. Show more
