This is an easy species to grow being tolerant of wet or dry soils as long as the drainage is good. Foliage is lanceolate and quite leathery being greyish-silver with prominent vei ning. These are up to 14 cms long and around 1 to 2 cm wide, making loose rosettes. Flowers are held on wiry but rigid stems to a height of 20 cms or so.
